image002 Cape Audio College is proud to announce our 2nd year Advanced Diploma course.

Due to the growing demands and constant evolution of the audio industry, students are required to become working professionals and valuable assets to the workplace provider as quickly as possible.

The optional 2nd year Advanced diploma is open to all graduates and is devised to build on the already in-depth course work covered in the 1-year diploma course. In order to prepare students for the growing demands of the of the work place, they will be required to fulfill practical exercises devised by Cape Audio College working closely with industry professionals. The course also includes… the Pro Tools master class where students will learn in-depth production and trouble shooting techniques of this powerful industry standard Digital Audio Workstation.

Lectures will take place weekly where students will be taught advanced techniques in the following:

• Microphone placement

• Guitar and Bass Re-amping

• Musical Instruments

• Advanced Drum recording techniques

• Professional Drum tuning and setup workshop

• Pro Tools master class

• Location recording techniques

• Advanced dialogue editing and mixing

• Advanced Foley and Sound design

• Postproduction final mix

All modules will consist of an industry professional workshop teaching the students in-depth techniques.  The 2nd years students will have exclusive access to Tin-Pan Alley studio as well ass exclusive equipment including microphones, amps and a drum kit provided by the Cape Audio College.
